About the Job

This role requires a strong background in diagnostic imaging, with experience in performing ultrasound procedures using high-quality equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to capture accurate images of internal organs, soft tissues, and blood flow, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and small parts imaging as ordered by the physician.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic-quality images, adjusting settings as necessary based on the patient's condition and the area of study.
  • Analyze images for quality and accuracy, documenting findings and preparing preliminary technical reports for physician review.
  • Maintain and sanitize ultrasound equipment and transducers following infection control protocols.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience as an Ultrasound Technologist is preferred; new graduates from accredited programs may be considered.
