Job Overview:
Conducts inspections of citrus orchards and nurseries to identify pest-related issues, including insects, diseases, and weeds. Generates detailed scouting reports.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Walks a minimum of 5 miles daily to survey citrus orchards for signs of pests, diseases, weeds, and other concerns.
2. Inspects citrus nurseries for pest issues, including insects, diseases, and weeds.
3. Sets up and retrieves insect traps in both orchards and nurseries.
4. Collects soil and tissue samples for nutrient analysis.
5. Completes a monthly inventory of chemicals used.
6. Undertakes additional tasks and special projects as directed by the supervisor.
7. Utilizes modern technology to prepare daily scouting reports via mobile devices or computers.
8. Follows supervisor's instructions diligently and adheres to established standards for assigned tasks.
9. Records environmental data from field samples to assess pest populations and the effectiveness of integrated pest management strategies.
10. Ensures all tasks are performed safely, wearing the required safety gear and seeking guidance when uncertain about safety protocols.
