Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive program of health services for the school.
  • Provide direct health services to students, including health screenings and assessments.
  • Promote health education and preventive health practices for students.
  • Serve as a health advocate for students, ensuring their health needs are met.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a healthy and safe learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
  • Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas as issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas.
  • Certified in CPR, audiometric, and vision screening.
  • Must have a car, driver's license, and liability insurance.
  • Two years of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in school/community health, or new graduate registered nurse with experience in school health utilizing other credentials.

Benefits:

  • 187 work days per year.
  • Competitive salary, minimum $52,386.
