Job Summary

Eataly North America is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team in the kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, cook and plate food items to meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Menu Execution: Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and accuracy in our menu offerings.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our culinary team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, and to ensure seamless execution of menu items.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the quality of our food products, adhering to our high standards and department rules and procedures.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced kitchen environment, able to adjust to changing menu items, ingredient availability, and customer demands.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a food preparation position, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Skills: Good knife skills, finger dexterity, and ability to use small tools and utensils effectively.
  • Education: Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to work with commercial equipment, including stand mixers, ovens, and torches.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $17-$21 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, 401K with match, and more.
