Position Summary
MOBIS is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to play a vital role in ensuring the exceptional quality and performance of our electric vehicle Battery Systems (BSA) and Power Electronics (PE) Systems. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive quality tasks across various stages of production at MOBIS facilities, including the plant, warehouse, and Kia plant.
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be entrusted with identifying and resolving quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance battery system quality. Your analytical mindset and problem-solving skills will be essential in driving continuous improvement within our operations.
Essential Functions- Conduct meticulous inspections of incoming materials and components, utilizing precision measurement equipment for thorough testing.
- Perform rigorous inspections of BSA and PE Systems at various stages of production and warehousing, employing specialized electrical equipment and charge/discharge tools.
- Demonstrate expertise in identifying and diagnosing defects and non-conformances within BSA and PE Systems through data analysis and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Execute repairs and software updates, ensuring adherence to established procedures. Conduct weld inspections with precision and accuracy.
- Analyze data and perform root cause analysis, leveraging insights from precision measurement equipment to pinpoint the source of quality issues.
- Develop and implement effective corrective actions to address identified quality issues, utilizing the capabilities of precision measurement equipment to ensure their effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, production teams, and stakeholders to resolve problems and elevate BSA and PE System quality. Share findings from precision measurement data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all inspections, findings, corrective actions taken, and relevant data from precision measurement equipment for future reference and analysis.
- Stay abreast of the latest quality standards and regulations pertaining to BSA and PE Systems, including the proper use and interpretation of data from precision measurement equipment.
- Provide valuable support for reliability testing and the launch of new products.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of BSA and PE System quality control processes, incorporating learnings from precision measurement data analysis.
- Maintain and calibrate precision measurement electrical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Mentor and train other team members on the proper use and interpretation of data from precision measurement equipment.
- Adhere to and promote company practices in areas such as safety, human relations, quality, cost, housekeeping, and delivery targets for assigned areas.
