The Pre-Admission Testing Registered Nurse is responsible for conducting a comprehensive verbal assessment with patients prior to their admission through a telephone interview, in addition to gathering the patient's medical history from prior medical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to ensure patient readiness for procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the anesthesia team to address patient requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient interactions.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing School.
  • Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or eligibility to obtain.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Operating Room, Pre-Operative/Recovery, or Intensive Care Unit settings.
  • Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of nursing principles, practices, and legal considerations.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
  • Ability to maintain a positive demeanor in a dynamic work environment.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Articulate telephone communication with a pleasant tone.
  • Exhibit professionalism and discretion in all interactions.
