PRN: Perioperative PACU Registered Nurse

USPI is in search of a skilled Perioperative PACU Registered Nurse to join our team on a PRN basis. Our organization operates in a dynamic setting dedicated to delivering exceptional quality care and experiences for patients and their families. We specialize in various surgical procedures, including orthopedics, gastrointestinal, ENT, and ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate, instruct, and prepare patients ahead of surgical interventions Measure and document vital signs to confirm patient readiness for surgery Initiate intravenous lines and ensure patients are well-informed about their procedures Assess patients' conditions following surgery Monitor vital signs and other indicators of recovery, ensuring discharge criteria are met Document all findings accurately in patient records Observe patients for any changes in condition, promptly reporting to the physician Execute intervention protocols during post-operative emergencies

Required Qualifications:

Must hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse license in TN Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program Must possess 1-3 years of prior experience in pre-operative and/or post-operative care or ICU Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is highly preferred Must have current BLS and ACLS certifications Current PALS certification is preferred Must demonstrate a strong understanding of surgical procedures and the management of surgical patients Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their application is essential Ability to swiftly adapt to changing patient conditions as necessary Must be an excellent team collaborator with strong communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and physicians.
