Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications for shipment, ensuring the integrity, sterility, and stability of all products.
  • Track shipments electronically to confirm timely deliveries throughout the operational week.
  • Adhere to designated checklists with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communicate directly with patients regarding expected delivery times and any potential delays.
  • Coordinate the dissemination of important information to patients, including updates on holiday and unscheduled closures.
  • Review shipping manifests daily to verify delivery addresses and times.
  • Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team to manage start dates and demographic information.
  • Reconcile shipping supply packing slips with invoices and ensure proper documentation.
  • Provide weekly shipping abstracts and usage reports to the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the packing area and pharmacy.
  • Secure all areas at the end of each business day, ensuring the safety of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and perform under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity for compassion towards patients.
  • Experience in inventory management and basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Flexible and able to multitask effectively.
