We are currently seeking a Financial Services Consultant who will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our diverse range of banking products and services. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of customer needs to effectively recommend suitable financial solutions. A solid foundation in Consumer Loans is essential, as the consultant will guide clients through the loan process until completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of banking products, services, policies, and procedures to effectively communicate with both potential and existing clients.
  • Proactively evaluate customers' deposit and credit needs to identify current and future financial requirements, recommending appropriate products and services.
  • Clearly explain service features, including fees and interest rates, while ensuring compliance with established policies during account openings.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate departments or bankers to enhance customer relationships and cross-sell additional services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly reports, striving to meet or exceed assigned sales goals.
  • Prepare sales correspondence and conduct follow-up communications with clients, including potential telemarketing outreach.
  • Uphold compliance with banking regulations, policies, and audit standards.
  • Manage service requests and resolve customer issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Conduct interviews with consumer loan applicants, providing accurate loan rate and term information, and assisting with the application process.
  • Review loan applications for completeness and collaborate with the loan center for processing.
  • Actively participate in branch meetings and work closely with management to recognize and reward successful referrals.
  • Stay informed about competitor offerings to maintain our customer base.
  • Perform clerical duties related to new accounts and assist with marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Support promotional campaigns and participate in product training sessions.
  • May take on Universal Banking Representative duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred higher education and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Enthusiastic about customer engagement and proactive in approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette.
  • Effective interpersonal, sales, and referral skills.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Computer literate, familiar with various banking software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
