Job Requirements

The CNC Operator will be responsible for:

  • Operating Machines assigned after set-up by area supervisor, Lead person or Set-up Person.
  • Making adjustments (e.g change tool offsets) as allowed to produce parts in accordance with tolerances and specifications as called for on production sketches.
  • Inspecting parts as produced to assure compliance with requirements using micrometers, verniers, gages, fixtures and/or other measuring equipment.
  • Recognizing and reporting need for adjustments and toll sharpening.
  • Reporting any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances immediately to supervision.
  • Exercising good machine practices at all times.
  • Producing high-quality parts, both in quantity and quality.
  • Maintaining accurate production cards, records or other data as required.
  • Maintaining area, equipment and tools in neat, orderly condition.
  • Observing all company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.
  • Performing other duties as required, assigned or directed.
Job Specifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School or GED
  • 3 months - 1 year or more of experience
  • Machining experience preferred but not required
  • Capacity to understand measurement and inspection devices
  • Able to interpret blue prints
  • Understand part placement to achieve optimum efficiency
