Job Summary
Community Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine Outreach School Based team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to athletes and active individuals in middle and high school settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prevent, assess, and treat emergency, acute, and chronic injuries
- Recondition athletes and active individuals after injury to prevent injury recurrence, impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans to promote optimal recovery and return to activity
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Communicate effectively with staff, patients, families, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in athletic training
- Current or temporary Indiana license, pending license must be obtained within 45 days of start date
- Current Board of Certification (BOC), Inc. Athletic Training certification
- Knowledge of anatomy/physiology, current treatment techniques, and functional progressions
- Ability to lift/transfer patients or treatment supply items without restriction
- Ability to organize responsibilities and set priorities
- Ability to function independently and make sound decisions
