Job Overview

BITCO Insurance Companies, a leader in providing tailored property and casualty insurance solutions, is currently looking for a Risk Control Consultant. This role is designed for individuals located in or around Atlanta, GA. The position allows for remote work, but does require occasional overnight travel to various client sites and offices.

Role Summary:

As a vital member of the Risk Control team, you will deliver comprehensive risk management services to BITCO clients within the state of Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess risks and control measures for existing and potential clients, with a focus on Workers' Compensation, general liability, and Commercial Auto sectors.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to risk management practices.
  • Generate detailed risk control documentation.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and training sessions for clients as needed.
  • Leverage expertise in product lines to achieve favorable loss experience results.
  • Support business growth through strong agency partnerships and effective client engagement.
  • Assist in mentoring and training team members as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Risk Control Consultant or Loss Control Consultant role, particularly in DOT Fleet Safety, Commercial Construction, Forestry, or Public Entities.
  • Professional safety certifications (CSP, ARM, etc.) are preferred; candidates should be willing to obtain such certifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of customer safety programs, along with state and federal regulations, and general insurance policy terms.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring abilities, with a knack for imparting knowledge effectively.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Capable of communicating effectively in person, via phone, and through email with various stakeholders.
  • Physical capability to assess client job sites and equipment, including bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and walking.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
