Job Summary:

Twin Cities Ready Mix is seeking a skilled and experienced Ready Mix Truck Driver Class B to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a ready mix truck, performing daily inspections, and communicating with coworkers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and Drive a Ready Mix Truck: Safely and efficiently operate a ready mix truck, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform Daily Inspections: Conduct daily inspections on vehicles, including fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, and checking and adding fluids as needed.
  • Communicate with Coworkers and Customers: Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers, either directly, through two-way radio, or hand signals.
  • Assist with Training and Development: Assist in training and developing coworkers as needed.
  • Maintain Good Customer Relations: Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Continuously follow all safety rules and work in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Class B CDL License: Must possess a valid Class B CDL license.
  • Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean and safe driving record.
  • Active DOT Qualification: Maintain an active DOT qualification.
  • Teamwork and Self-Motivation: Ability to perform well in a team environment and work without direct supervision.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching, tolerate working at heights up to 12 feet, and work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work Hours: Able to work up to 16 hours, with a maximum driving time per day of 11 hours, and adhere to DOT Hours of Service Regulations.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100lbs. frequently.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders, balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push, and pull objects, and tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
