Default Prevention and Recovery Department
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Default Prevention and Recovery department at Lafayette Federal Credit Union. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in preventing defaults and recovering assets. Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and friendly service to external members and internal staff
  • Managing the process for disposing of assets owned by the credit union, including rehabilitations, management, and resale of vehicles
  • Assigning accounts to foreclosure attorneys and repossession companies
  • Notifying corresponding departments and documenting secured assets and completed foreclosures
  • Processing mortgage reinstatements and vehicle redemptions according to federal and state guidelines

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have experience with consumer and mortgage asset recovery, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with collections systems and attention to detail are also essential. Additionally, you must be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Salary: $59/hour (Based on national averages for similar positions)
