About the Role

Kaman, a leading manufacturer of self-lubricating bearings and engineered products, is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and check out programming and operate numerically controlled machine tools to perform complex machining operations on a diversified line of work.
  • Work from programs, operation sheets, and machine setup instructions to achieve close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.
  • Self-sufficiency with material clamping methods, machine adjustments/offsets, and console settings.
  • Provide training, set-up, tool adjustment, trouble shooting, etc., support to others.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Machining Certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of the use and inspection methods of GD&T constraints.
  • Proficient in use of shop math.
  • Works independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoots basic programming errors such as taper, chatter, and chip control.
  • Proficient in setting up CNC machine.
  • Works to standard in jaw-cutting, bringing a part to size, and inspecting a part for a first piece.
  • Has working knowledge of the relationship between federate and surface finish as well as surface speed to material type.
