Position Overview: The role of the Critical Care Nursing Aide is to support nursing personnel in both direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of registered nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist nursing personnel in various patient care tasks.
- Gather and convey relevant patient information in an objective manner.
- Relay important patient updates to the RN or LPN to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Document care activities accurately in accordance with Ridgeview Medical Center policies.
- Perform Patient Safety Attendant duties as required.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Must possess a nursing assistant certification OR
- Have at least one year of experience as a nursing assistant (with a minimum of six months in a single facility) OR
- Be enrolled in a professional nursing program OR
- Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to meet and maintain background check requirements relevant to the role.
- Proficient in English for effective written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations.
- Capability to respond effectively to unpredictable situations and diverse patient needs.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
- BLS Certification is preferred.
