GI Technician Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians in setting up the operating room, providing instrumentation, supplies, and equipment required for endoscopic procedures.
  • Verify patient information, ensure operative consent, faculty consent, anesthesia consent, and additional required information.
  • Maintain and ensure all equipment and required tools are well-kept to the highest standards.
  • Promote efficiency and safety at all times.
  • Accurately handle and identify specimens according to established guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or GI Tech program preferred.
  • Maintains current BLS certification required.
