Position Overview

The Clinical Informatics Analyst plays a pivotal role within the organization, reporting directly to the Director of Food and Culinary Services.

Role Summary: This position is tasked with overseeing specific clinical content and ensuring the effective implementation and ongoing support of clinical information systems.

  • Responsible for the deployment and continuous maintenance of clinical informatics solutions.
  • Follows established project management methodologies to guide projects through their entire life cycle.
  • Evaluates workflows to identify areas for improvement and enhancement.
  • Articulates technical and IT enhancement requirements, documenting needs and creating specifications for development teams.
  • Collaborates with medical leadership and the Clinical Informatics & PI Manager to prioritize clinical content development.
  • Participates in testing and the rollout of system enhancements.
  • Represents the JHCP user community and IS department on various committees as necessary.
  • Engages with new providers and specialty groups to assess needs and devise appropriate strategies.

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • A valid Registered Dietitian (RD LDN) license in the state of Maryland is mandatory.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with GE Centricity is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated project management expertise within a healthcare context.
  • Clinical experience in a patient care environment is necessary.
  • Exposure to clinical settings is required.
  • Ability to independently manage projects adhering to project life cycle standards.
  • Capacity to adapt to a dynamic work environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with a diverse range of providers and staff.
  • Ability to mentor and support other staff members.
  • Proficient in collaborating with individuals of varying skill levels across different departments.

Work Schedule:

This is a Full-Time position, requiring 40 hours per week.

Compensation:

This role is classified as Exempt.
