Dietary Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Aide/Cook to join our team at ClearSky Health. As a key member of our food services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality care of our patients.

• Assist in the service of meals for patients, visitors, and staff, and assist in various processes related to the preparation and delivery of meals.
• Prepare and/or pre-portion food for regular and therapeutic diets, according to the planned menu and as directed.
• Handle food using proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize all food preparation equipment and ensure that it is kept in safe and operable condition.
• Complete general cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of work area.
• Assist with keeping Dietary department stocked with essential patient food items.
• Utilize concepts of age/developmental stages in interactions with patients and families.
• Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assess the risks for safety and implement appropriate precautions.

• 1 year experience in healthcare food services preferred.
• Food Handler's permit preferred.
• Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements and use of Nutritional Care Manual.
• Demonstrates proficiency with general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
• Ability to maintain quality, Infection Prevention, and safety standards.
