  • Ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and efficiently

  • Participate in Level 1 and 2 assurance training as designated
  • Progress towards obtaining CPA certification, which is necessary for advancement to Manager

  • Assist in client development and marketing efforts as assigned
  • Maintain a target of 1,400 to 1,500 billable hours within a 2,250-hour work year
  • Foster a positive and constructive relationship with clients
  • Comply with the firm's quality control protocols
  • Maintain a high standard of independence and integrity
  • Travel as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field is required; a degree in Accounting from an accredited institution is preferred
  • Compliance with or progress towards the 150-hour rule is preferred
  • Prior internship experience in a public accounting setting and/or six months to two years of recent public accounting experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with paperless assurance software is preferred
  • Understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, accounting principles (FASB, GAAP, OCBOA), and industry-specific regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Caseware and RSM methodology is preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently

Physical Requirements:

While performing the responsibilities of this role, the employee will frequently be required to sit, stand, reach, walk, drive, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move up to 25 lbs.
