Job Summary: Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and obstetric emergencies.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including lab results, vital signs, and medication lists.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, and NRP certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Omnicell and Epic systems.
- Knowledge of SBAR communication.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
