Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bartender/Cook to join our team at the Coast Guard Community Services Command. As a Bartender/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of menu items, including food and beverages, to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including food and beverages, to meet customer demands.
  • Wash and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Maintain assigned areas in a neat and orderly manner, adhering to fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
  • Verify and store food supplies properly to ensure quality control and food safety.
  • Prepare and serve all types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from a full-service bar, following established recipes and procedures.
  • Receive payment, make change, and maintain cash funds accurately.
  • Assist in taking inventory and maintaining records to ensure accurate tracking of supplies and sales.
  • Keep bar areas clean and stocked properly at all times, washing bar equipment, glassware, and utensils as needed.
  • Perform other sanitation duties within assigned work areas as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in food preparation and presentation, as well as the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Experience operating and cleaning/sanitizing food service equipment.
  • Experience bartending and serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance.
