Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Organic Chemist to join our team at Cambrex. As a key member of our Process Development group, you will be responsible for designing and executing complex chemical syntheses, developing new processes, and optimizing existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute multistep organic syntheses, isolation, and purification of targeted products.
  • Develop and implement new processes, and optimize existing ones to improve efficiency and yield.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analytical chemistry and engineering, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct literature searches and stay up-to-date with current scientific literature to inform process development decisions.
  • Author and review comprehensive reports, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 8 years' experience, or M.S. in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 12 years' experience, or B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field with 16 years of experience in a lab environment.
  • Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical/chemical process development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Chemdraw.
