Position Summary
This role is essential for facilitating patient registration for outpatient services, ensuring the collection of thorough and precise information. The individual will oversee the effective functioning of the front desk and deliver various administrative and clerical assistance to promote the seamless operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Registration for Emergency and Outpatient Services
    • Maintains and updates patient records, ensuring all information is comprehensive and current, and inputs data into the electronic database.
    • Processes payments accurately, records transactions in the ledger or automated system, calculates receipts, and prepares packages for courier delivery in line with established protocols.
  • Front Desk and Reception Management
    • Acts as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors, determining the purpose of their visit.
    • Handles and screens incoming calls, taking precise messages.
    • Addresses inquiries and provides relevant information or directs to appropriate staff members.
  • Administrative and Clerical Support
    • Coordinates appointment scheduling in accordance with established procedures, utilizing both appointment books and automated systems.
    • Performs various clerical duties, including copying, faxing, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
    • Monitors inventory of office supplies and forms, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Qualifications Required:
  • Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare office setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency: typing speed of 50 wpm; familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • All personnel must successfully complete a TB test, drug screening, and physical examination
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous
  • Prior experience with EPIC or similar Electronic Medical Record systems
