Dishwasher Position

Job Summary

The South Peninsula Hospital is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dietary Dishwasher. This role is responsible for ensuring all dishes, pots, pans, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized to maintain a high level of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hospital standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure seamless food service operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical and mental health.
• State of Alaska Food Worker's Card required within 30 days of employment.

Work Environment

The Dietary Dishwasher will work in a hospital setting, exposed to food, grease, steam, water, detergents, and other cleaning chemicals. The role requires working rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, early, and late shifts.
