Job Summary:
The Environmental Services Team at Baptist Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EVS Technician to join our team. As an EVS Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, public areas, and other high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of infection and maintain a clean environment.
- Utilize cleaning equipment and supplies to effectively clean and maintain all areas of the hospital.
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized janitor closet and cleaning cart.
- Report any patient complaints, unusual behavior, or incidents to the appropriate nurse personnel.
- Remove waste and soiled linen in a safe and effective manner.
- Utilize the Bed Tracking System to log in and out of work and track cleaning assignments.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies.
