About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paraplanner to join our dynamic team for this in-office position. In this role, you will provide crucial technical support to our financial advisors, manage client relationships, and contribute to the development of comprehensive financial plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for client meetings and take notes
  • Review statements and questionnaires provided by clients
  • Input updated values into planning software and apply strategies for client needs
  • Complete necessary paperwork for account openings and money movements
  • Interview clients about their attitudes, financial constraints, and goals
  • Create follow-up correspondence for advisors after meetings
  • Build client relationships with guidance from Lead Advisors
  • Help onboard new clients and assist with financial planning and tax strategies
  • Organize data and complete open tasks
  • Identify problem areas and summarize for advisors
  • Calculate projections and tax strategies
  • Maintain up-to-date information on model portfolio performance
  • Collaborate with Client Service Associates on routine client requests and service
  • Read trade journals, books, and other publications
  • Train and mentor interns
  • Service clients and answer client phone calls and related questions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • CFP certification (Preferred) or progress towards certification
  • 2-5 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience with CRM systems and financial planning tools
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Good understanding of financial planning concepts and terminology
  • Knowledge of mutual fund, ETF, stock, bond, insurance, and annuity products
  • Basic knowledge of GGM investment models, philosophy, benchmarks, and strategies
  • Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite
