Electrical Engineering Manager Job Description

At Envipco, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our team of electrical engineers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering design and a proven track record of managing projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of electrical engineers to design, develop, and improve electro-mechanical systems.
  • Oversee multiple projects and ensure their completion on time, within budget, and meeting technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, and improve electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ensure that all electrical engineering work adheres to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain Envipco products for agency approvals.
  • Create and maintain Electrical Engineering Specifications and Designs Including: PCBA's, wire harnesses, schematic circuit diagrams, panel layouts, cabinet layouts, wiring and termination diagrams, and parts lists.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as mechanical engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and commercial teams, to ensure integrated project outcomes.
  • Participate in and drive Envipco process development.
  • This is a hands-on and working manager role.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in electrical engineering, a business degree (MBA) is a bonus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design work.
  • Experience using some of the following tools: Altium, E-plan, Eagle, AutoCAD, Solidworks or other Electrical Engineering Design and Specification Tools/Software.

Your Preferred Attributes:
  • You have experience with Machine Vision systems, cameras, and image processing, AI usage in Image Processing and Object recognition.
  • You have experience working independently but also enjoy working in a team environment.
  • You have strong communication skills and are comfortable communicating with all levels of management, external customers, and vendors.
  • You have experience with industrial sensors.
  • Experience in automation technology.
  • You have strong technical, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
  • You have experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and or Structured Problem-Solving methods.
  • You have very good language skills in English. As a second language Romanian or German as a bonus.
