Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiographer 8, Radiology to join our team at UP Health System – Marquette. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies, selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implements safety standards.
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzes results, and identifies issues with image quality.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Two years ARRT accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Associate's degree.
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Required Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) and ARRT Registry in Radiology (R) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
