Position Overview

This is a contingent role with compensation based on each visit rather than hourly.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Address the unique needs of residents, which may encompass assistance with personal grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, colostomy care, and the use of prosthetic devices. Facilitate residents' participation in appointments, activities, or religious services as required.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of residents' rights, ensuring they are free from restraints and abuse. Promptly report any incidents or signs of abuse or rights violations to the charge nurse or administrative personnel.
  • Monitor residents for any changes in their condition or behavior and report these observations to the appropriate licensed nursing staff without delay.
  • Safely lift, move, and transport residents using proper techniques or lifting equipment to prevent accidents.
  • Assist residents in attending appointments and outings, and engage in activities as directed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Requirements for CNA:

  • Current Registered Certified Nurse Assistant License in Michigan.
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License.
  • Active auto insurance coverage.
