We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team at OneH2, Inc. as a Project Instrumentation Engineer - Hydrogen Technology Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Design, review, and maintain various Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) designs for our hydrogen production plants and distribution equipment.
- Collaborate with project management, MEP engineers, and licensed consultants to create safe and efficient instrumentation and control systems for our projects.
- Develop concept I&C design in collaboration with other project engineers and licensed consultants, per scope, schedule, cost, quality requirements of the projects and applicable codes and standards.
- Participate in Hazardous Operation Analysis (HAZOP) to consider equipment, personnel, and environmental safety.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance & Quality Control leads to develop Control testing/commissioning plan for Site I&C subsystems.
- Assist other engineers to integrate I&C systems with various hardware components, such as sensors, actuators, detectors, and communication networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, electrical engineers, commissioning technicians, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration and operation of I&C systems.
- Bachelor's degree in an associated field such as electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Controls Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
- Typically 5+ years of related work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in AutoCAD.
- Professional Engineer registration is not required but is desirable.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) or distributed control system (DCS) based control systems is desirable.
- Willingness to travel to support at job sites (Less than 15% of the time).
- Excellent communication and documentation ability with the capacity to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan.
