Our grant management software is specifically designed to assist organizations in managing donor-advised funds (DAFs) while navigating complex requirements, ensuring compliance, and simplifying due diligence.


Role Summary:

The Financial Edge NXT Consultant serves as a key contributor with the technical expertise necessary to design, develop, and implement Blackbaud's Financial Edge NXT. This position demands proficiency with Blackbaud's Financial Edge NXT. Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of Financial Edge NXT configuration, chart of accounts, workflow processes, financial reporting, and nonprofit accounting principles. NPact's Consulting team is composed of experts in nonprofit solutions and Financial Edge NXT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing customer needs in Financial Edge NXT, actively gathering insights to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Customizing the Financial Edge NXT software solution to align with client specifications.
  • Creating tailored financial reports and modifying existing reports in Financial Edge to meet the Finance team's needs.
  • Providing training to teams on Financial Edge NXT system configuration, reporting, and essential daily operations.
  • Setting clear expectations with clients regarding project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Identifying and presenting Change Orders to clients when their requirements or budgeted hours exceed the project scope.
  • Coordinating data extraction from various databases for seamless importing.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Financial Edge NXT Professional Certification is mandatory
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Financial Edge
  • At least 3 years' experience in nonprofit accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • Familiarity with GAAP, fundamental financial concepts, and procedures
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach
  • Proven ability in time management and problem-solving
