About the Job

Focused Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Pool Safety Specialist to join our team As a key member of our Water Rescue Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of individuals using our school swimming pools.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of six (6) months of progressively responsible experience in public lifeguarding in an organized setting of young people.
  • Possession of valid certificates in American Red Cross - Lifeguard Training and CPR/First Aid/AED or American Red Cross - Water Safety Instructor.

In this role, you will enforce regulations at the school swimming pool, rescue persons in danger of drowning, administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid when necessary, and perform minor emergency repair and maintenance work. You will also teach swimming skills to students under the direction of a certificated instructor and monitor swim pool locker rooms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong swimming skills and ability to apply water rescue methods.
  • Ability to remain calm in emergencies and act decisively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Estimated Salary: $42,000 - $50,000 per year
