Job Title: Lecturer of Physics

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer of Physics to join our team at Augusta University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching physics and astronomy lectures and laboratory courses, as well as participating in service activities supporting the department, college, university, and/or profession.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Physics and/or Astronomy lectures and laboratory courses
  • Participate in service activities supporting the department, college, university, and/or profession
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Physics or related discipline
  • Evidence of ability as a teacher
  • Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned
  • Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements)
  • Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Physics or related discipline
  • Teaching experience
