InsideHigherEd is seeking a qualified Adjunct Music Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching weekly private music lessons in qualified areas of voice or instrument.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching weekly private music lessons in qualified areas of voice or instrument
  • Preparing music students for performances
  • Maintaining a written record of each student's preparation and progress throughout the semester
  • Reporting as needed to the department head or program coordinator
  • Participating in college projects, surveys, studies, and reports that relate to the discipline or program
  • Collaborating in the development of program and/or discipline promotional materials
  • Supporting the college's goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in music is required, Master's degree in music or music education preferred
  • Applicants must have strong communication skills and a record of successful private teaching experience
  • Proficiency in performing relevant instrument/voice is required

Clearances:

  • Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position
