Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Technician to join our team at Trinity Health. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, including the setup and breakdown of equipment and supplies.
  • Provide support to surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, including handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of instrument, sponge, and needle counts.
  • Transport patients and assist with positioning as needed.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists.
  • Maintains a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization.
  • 1-2 years of previous OR experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong dexterity and stamina to work on long cases as needed.
  • Prioritize quickly a number of different tasks and activates.
  • Strong communication skills in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Critical thinking skills to help assist the RNs and Surgeons.
