Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Administration of Radioactive Materials: Prepare and administer radioactive materials for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation of the patient for the exam.
  • Nuclear Medicine Examinations: Perform Nuclear Medicine examinations per departmental protocol, using proper protection and badges, and handling radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Radiation Safety: Familiar with the ALARA program and follows proper radiation safety protocol, ensuring that the appropriate radioactive material is given to the correct patient through the proper route for imaging and treatment purposes.
  • Equipment Operation: Understands and operates all nuclear medicine equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure quality images are produced.
  • Documentation: Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Board certified through Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or American Registry Radiologic Technologists Board.
  • Licenses: Current License in state of practice.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited institution with one year experience.
Work Environment

This position is located at Intermountain Health Alta View Hospital and Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
