Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be a skilled controls engineer, adept at diagnosing technical challenges and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Create control system designs and schematics utilizing CAD tools, focusing on project specifications and employing Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley products. This includes hardware interface design, software component development, and integration of sensors, actuators, and servos.
  • Programming and Configuration: Develop, test, and troubleshoot code for control systems using Allen-Bradley PLC programming languages to set up control devices.
  • System Integration: Seamlessly integrate control systems with current infrastructure, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs.
  • Testing and Validation: Execute comprehensive testing of control systems to verify functionality, reliability, and safety. Formulate test plans, conduct simulations, and analyze data to confirm system performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve control system issues, including hardware failures, software glitches, and communication problems. Implement corrective measures to enhance system performance.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate and maintain documentation related to control system design, implementation, and maintenance. Prepare reports, technical documents, and user manuals as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and testing technicians, to achieve project objectives and ensure smooth integration of control systems.
  • Controls Inventory Management: Oversee the management and planning of controls inventory.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in control system design, programming, and implementation.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell Automation, particularly Allen-Bradley products and design software.
  • Understanding of low/high voltage systems and 24 VDC control power.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs and SCADA systems.
  • Prior experience programming Fanuc or similar industrial robots is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for addressing complex control system challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertaining to control systems (e.g., ISA, IEC).
