Job Summary

The Nurse-Resident role at Prisma Health is designed to provide new graduate nurses with a solid foundation to launch their nursing career. As a Nurse-Resident, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, refining your nursing knowledge and skills under the guidance of experienced clinicians.

Responsibilities
  • Attend all quality and core curriculum classes to enhance your nursing knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in professional development workshops and peer support groups to foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
  • Work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team to refine your nursing knowledge and skills.
  • Actively participate in managing clinical situations for which you are assigned, under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing required.
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.
  • BLS required.
