Cafeteria Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and organized Cafeteria Assistant to join our team at Valparaiso Community School Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students in the cafeteria, monitoring restrooms, and coordinating the direction of students to the lunch lines. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students in the cafeteria and ensure their safety and well-being
  • Monitor restrooms and maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Coordinate the direction of students to the lunch lines and ensure a smooth and efficient process
  • Assist with cleaning up the cafeteria and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Assist with supervision in the hallways as students return to class
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and punctuality
Compensation:
  • $13.50/hour
  • 2.5 hours daily/180 days per year
