Arts and Crafts Instructor

Join Barracudas Activity Day Camps as an Arts and Crafts Instructor and be part of a team that delivers fun and engaging activities for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain a safe and inviting arts and crafts area for children.
  • Plan and deliver a variety of creative activities that are age-relevant and safe.
  • Provide safety instructions and demonstrations of equipment.
  • Work with other staff members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for children.
  • Take responsibility for the general welfare and safeguarding of children.

Requirements:

  • Experience in arts and crafts.
  • Age 18 or over by the start date of the contract.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Provide satisfactory professional/academic references.
  • Enthusiastic, caring, and organized with excellent communication skills.
  • Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or have an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the company fulfills all its Health and Safety obligations.
  • Deliver activities that are appropriate for children in your care.
  • Encourage children to participate in new activities and ensure the activity program is as directed on the timetable.
  • Carefully follow all camp systems, including registration and collection procedures, Health and Safety systems, and guidelines on good practice in child welfare.
