Job Summary

As a Labor and Delivery Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in overseeing patient care provided by the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed clinical assessments, prioritizing patient and family needs, creating and implementing care plans, and adjusting plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

You will work closely with patients, families, nurses, and community members to educate them on health and wellness topics, empower them with knowledge, and support their decision-making processes. Your exceptional communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and commitment to growth and development will enable you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with specialized field of study in nursing
  • Current and valid nursing license
  • BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role

Description for Job

This role requires the ability to manage patient pain, including epidural and patient-controlled analgesia administration. You will also assist physicians during delivery, treatment, examination, and surgical procedures, monitor and record patient condition using computerized documentation systems, and provide patient and family education on labor, pain, and newborn care.
