Grain Elevator Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Grain Elevator Operations professional at Dakota Mill and Grain, Inc.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling and processing of various agricultural commodities, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Load and unload products from trucks and railcars, ensuring accurate weighing and grading of grain shipments.
- Monitor grain storage conditions and make adjustments to maintain optimal grain quality.
- Maintain accurate records of grain transactions and inventory, adhering to company policies and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to farmers, customers, and suppliers, responding to their needs and concerns.
- Unload incoming grain trucks and perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Load grain into outbound trucks and railcars, efficiently optimizing storage space within the grain elevator.
- Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, and other machinery to move and transport grain within the facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and physical.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally, with prior experience in a grain elevator or agricultural setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate grain handling equipment.
