Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Post Surgical Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Albany Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and managing administrative duties in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division.

About You:

You must have strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care. You will facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay. As a visible leader, you will provide guidance and support to unit-based staff, ensuring that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan administrative management, financial, and operational duties
  • Mentor professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care
  • Facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay
  • Provide direction and support to unit-based staff
  • Collaborate with other service and department leaders toward attainment of short- and long-term goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
