We are seeking a highly skilled Physician and Surgeon, Correctional Facility (Internal Medicine/Family Practice) to join our team at the State of California. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility, performing medical assessments and providing medical treatment as authorized by your medical license.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility, including performing medical assessments and providing medical treatment as authorized by your medical license.
- Collaborate with midlevel providers and other staff to provide clinical consultation and instruction on medical protocols.
- Adhere to professional medical standards of care and maintain a safe and humane environment for patients.
- Participate in on-call duties as assigned.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the Medical Board of California or the California Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
- Possession of a valid internal medicine or family medicine Medical or Osteopathic Specialty Certificate issued by an American Medical Specialty Board or an American Osteopathic Specialty Board, or admissibility to an internal medicine or family medicine Specialty examination as evidenced by a written statement from the Secretary of the American Board of Family Medicine or the Secretary of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
