About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team at The H&K Group. As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for directing the activities of workers involved in the construction of highways, pipelines, and other construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Plan and coordinate construction activities, including staffing, materials, and equipment
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, labor representatives, and inspectors to resolve construction problems and improve methods
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure quality and adherence to schedules
  • Prepare and review reports on progress, materials, and costs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 3 years of related experience and/or training
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, especially milling machines, paving machines, and rollers
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving and priority-setting skills
  • Composure and conflict resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience
  • OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
  • Experience in heavy civil and highway construction
