At Dietz & Watson, we are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high level of commitment to safety and customer service. Your main job function will be to assist with sales and create brand awareness by demonstrating our products and building relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up deli cases and rotate deli product to ensure optimal visibility and sales.
  • Assemble necessary equipment to use in the setting of cases and maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS).
  • Attract customers to the deli by demoing product and using inventiveness to come up with new recipes and/or sandwiches for demoing purposes.
  • Complete all reports as necessary, including store surveys, and make regular store visits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships by displaying high-level customer service techniques to deli managers and employees.
  • Possess the knowledge and ability to create and market Dietz & Watson party trays and sandwiches.
  • Communicate any information deemed necessary to the Account Manager, including grand openings and store closures.
  • Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts and perform special projects outside of assigned territory.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment at all times.
Requirements:
  • Flexibility and ability to travel to territory within 20 miles of hiring location.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must have computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must possess communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills.
  • Must be able to exercise independent decision-making skills on a regular basis.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, bending, twisting.
  • Ability to lift to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Push/pull carts containing product - occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Walking.
  • Reaching.
  • Use of both hands and arms.
Working Conditions:
  • Room temperature while in stores.
  • At times, be in a refrigerated cooler area.
