Position Overview:

The Environmental Service Attendants are responsible for ensuring that all areas within the healthcare facility are kept in pristine condition. Responsibilities may vary based on client needs and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Thoroughly cleans and shines lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
  2. Maintains cleanliness in rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
  3. Utilizes sweeping and vacuuming techniques on floors.
  4. Dusts and polishes furniture and equipment.
  5. Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork to maintain a sanitary environment.
  6. Ensures windows, door panels, and sills are clean.
  7. Empties waste receptacles and transports waste to disposal areas.
  8. Replenishes supplies in restrooms as needed.
  9. Moves small equipment or tools between departments as required.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in janitorial services is advantageous. Experience in medical cleaning is also beneficial. Candidates must undergo a post-offer medical evaluation, background screening, and drug testing.

Successful candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption is granted. A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves physical demands that may require reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Employees may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and may work near moving mechanical parts. The typical noise level in the work environment is generally quiet.
