The Tax Senior Lead Role

In this hybrid position, you will oversee tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities for our organization. This requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations applicable to the financial services industry, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of our tax function, including federal, state, and international tax compliance and planning, leveraging both in-office resources and remote work capabilities.">
  • Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, estimated tax payments, and other tax-related filings.">
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize our tax position.">
  • Provide technical tax advice on complex financial transactions and products.">
  • Collaborate virtually and in-person with various departments to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions.">
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on our organization.">
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, and tax advisors through various communication channels.">
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in both remote and in-office settings.">
  • Prepare and present tax-related reports and analyses for senior management.">

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation preferred.">
  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification required.">
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in tax, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.">
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and tax accounting principles.">
  • Experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of tax issues related to banking, investments, or insurance products.">
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.">
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, both virtually and in-person.">
  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite.">
  • Adaptability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.">
