We are currently looking for a dedicated Full-time Oncall RN to become a part of the Bethany Hospice team. This role offers a unique schedule of working 7 days on followed by 7 days off, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.
Position Overview:
The Oncall RN will be responsible for triaging calls and making home visits as necessary. Our average workload consists of approximately 2 visits and 2 calls per night, making this an excellent fit for those who prefer night shifts or require daytime availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient calls and assess their needs.
- Conduct home visits as required, ensuring quality care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Uphold professional standards and practices in all interactions.
- Current RN License in Pennsylvania.
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience; hospice experience is advantageous.
- Possession of a vehicle, valid driver's license, and car insurance.
- Understanding of hospice care principles and the needs of terminally ill patients.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong nursing judgment.
- Effective communication and observational skills.
- Compliance with background checks and professional references.
